As problems related to violence, drug use, mental health and racial tension have surfaced in our districts, there has been a growing need for schools to develop effective coping strategies that maximize pro-social behavior and maintain student engagement with school. District Interdisciplinary Teams are groups of knowledgeable practitioners teaming with the districts to identify the underlying causal factors and effective preventive interventions that promote school safety, positive pro-social behaviors and productive school climates through a coordinated and comprehensive system of care.
